CodeBlocks for Arduino, mixing C and assembler files

Postby Marco » Sun Sep 18, 2016 8:47 pm

Hi everbody,
I am new in this forum and I am a beginner programming micrcontrollers.
I would like to combine c and assembly code (not inline assembler) in Code Blocks for arduino.
The C-code should be in one file and the assembler code in another file.
The assembler routines should be called in the C-file with for example:
extern void sw_mvp(uint8_t data); (or extern void abc(int data))

If I add an assembler.s file in Code Blocks for arduino ide the compiler stops at the first assembler instruction with an error message. I am not sure if it's possible to combine C and assembler files with Code Blocks for arduino. If the combination would be feasible, could please someone show me how I can do this?

Thank you very much for your help.

Kind regards from Switzerland
Marco
