Adding a WiFi Shield

I am working on a project and trying to use WiFi as the transport for data (GPS/OBD) being collected by the Arduino OBD-II Logger Kit #3. My objective is to collect data and store it on the SD memory. When the vehicle returns to the garage the file is then sent to a back end server for processing. I have been reading about the new Arduino YUN that already has WiFi built-in. Is anyone familiar with the YUN and could it be used in place of the UNO or Mega? or Can WiFi be added to the Arduino OBD-II Logger Kit #3? Thank you for any suggestions or help.

You either stack a WIFI shield for Arduino or simply a WIFI bee which can be plugged in a xBee socket.
