Do you have idea what protocol does your car use? Is it ISO9141-2, KWP2000 or CAN bus?

If you are using model A, it connects via serial UART not I2C.

Should be not any problem with a CAN bus car.

The date of the created file is not modified as I didn't find a way to do so with Arduino SD library. I hope I was wrong.

Modes other than 05,06,08 can be accessed but cannot be controlled.
