If you are using kit 2, the default setup is for the microSD on data logger shield.

You can perform DTC readout and clear with this kit. You need to write your own sketch though. The OBD library provides API for accessing DTC.

Blank screen on LCD normally is caused by sketch not properly compiled and uploaded. Can you check this?
