J1850 is not supported and can't be added by software update.

What's your iPad model? iPad 1/2 does not support BLE. You can install a free app named LightBlue and search for nearby BLE devices.

Not every car has this data. For smaller engines, try PID_MAP.

Why don't you just use the UART version?
