Blue means communication on going. Red is power. Basically you can't make the adapter work without plugging into OBD-II port of a car or an emulator.

Using the SD seat on TFT shield requires modification of SD2card.h (a file in Arduino SD library) to enable software SPI.

On a 2009 VW scirroco, the OBD-II reading interval is about 20ms. That's 50Hz. On a 2008 VW POLO, the interval is about 500ms. This depends on the response time of ECU.
