If your car is CAN bus (ISO14230), it should work well.

As Arduino IDE is not developed and maintained by us, please turn to Arduino forum for help.

You assuption is right. If you need to set which PIDs the emulator is to respond, this feature will be added soon with a firmware upgrade.

How many connectors do you have from the adapter?
