baro PID returning low number

Postby p.santos09 » Wed Mar 18, 2020 11:33 pm

Using Freematics OBD-II UART Adapter V2.1 on Arduino reading a GM vehicle...

The baro PID; 0x33 is returning the number "45". I was expecting something like 101 (kpa) for sea level.

Anyone else run into that? I've been searching for alternate PID for GM baro but no luck. Can't tell if I'm not interpreting the return value correctly or if this PID just not working for this vehicle.

Thanks in advance,

Hello Pantos,

I am using OBD-II UART Adapter V.2.1 on my Nissan (Qashqai) vehicle.

I live in a small village 500 meter up the sea level and the PID 0x33
return to me (key on, engine off) hex 5F --> dec 95, so 95kPA = 0,98 ATM.
