STM32F103C8T6 Programming

Post by James Shim »

I am a new people in this project. My question is if we need any firmware programming for this chipset. Or does the ATMEGA chipset take OBD-II data from it?

You only need Arduino programming.

Hi,

Is it possible to access the stm32 firmware in order to reprogram it for use with pwmj1850
I would *only* need pwmj1850

Sorry j1850 can't be supported. It's not about upgrading firmware.

Hi Stanley,

it seems the atmega chip has got everything needed in order to implement both j1850pwm and j1850vpw what is the actual problem in not supporting these protocols?

I found a 10-pin header inside the datalogger - is it the 10-pin header for the STM32 chip?

For the interest of those landing here, J1850 pins 2/10 are not even connected to any ICs in the freematics ONE+ B/H.
Correct?

But in general, these standards are deprecated, and newer cars don't even support them; the focus is on ISO 15765, pins 6/14 (including ISO 14229-3 for UDS), correct?

Neither model B or model H supports J1850.
