Wrong links on the freematics webpage

Post by Gauner »

Since I didn't get an answer on 4 Emails since may 2020, I make in publicly: There are many dead links on the freematics Webpages. Here are the ones I stumbled accross just by surfing the website:
https://freematics.com/pages/hub/ -> https://github.com/stanleyhuangyc/Freem ... /simulator
https://freematics.com/forum/ -> app.php/help/faq
https://freematics.com/about.html -> https://www.facebook.com/stanleyhuangyc
https://freematics.com/about.html -> https://www.facebook.com/huangxiangge
https://freematics.com/products/freemat ... s-model-b/ -> http://en.simcom.com/product/showproduc ... =en&id=260 (2x)
https://freematics.com/pages/products/f ... rt-guide/-> https://sourceforge.net/projects/freema ... -one-plus/

I want to emphasize the last one: It is not a dead link, but a very misleading one, because it doesn't lead to the LATEST source code package as claimed in the text. It took me as a newbie to the freematics project really long to figure out, why the files as described later in the quick start guide are not there. And I was discouraged to buy a freematics device when I saw that there's no progress in the supposed source codes since almost 3 years... Until I found out I have to go to github...

The list is by no means exhaustive, I suggest using a link tracker like this:
https://validator.w3.org/checklink?uri= ... heck=Check
and fix that stuff.

Too, sad, no change. I find this disrespectful. I really invested time to make YOUR product (considering the webpage and documentation as part of it) better and this simply gets ignored.
