New One+ is not registering on my cell network +CPSI: NO SERVICE,Online

Post by Angry Owlbear »

I've unpacked my one+ and have started setting it up. I've downloaded the latest build of stanleyhuangyc/Freematics/tree/master/firmware_v5/telelogger and I've compiled it with Freematics Builder. I'm using Tello and have set the APN to 'wholesale'. When booting, I see that it detects the SIM card but fails to register, giving me an error +CPSI: NO SERVICE,Online.

I have tried swapping the direction of the SIM card in case I had it wrong but, as you can see in the bottom of the output, I then get NO SIM CARD. So it seems my SIM but can't register on the network. I have tried using this SIM in another device and it successfully joins using the same APN.

Tello uses B2/B4/B12 which are all supported by SIM7600A-H.
Is the APN correct? If unsure, try leaving APN blank (default from network).

I have the same problem. I have tried different sim cards but with no result. They all stuck in activating! I have tested the sim with other tracking device and it works!

I have changed the APN via app before and now when I am trying to remove it via APP (as your suggestion) it does not allow it.
I can only rename the APN via app.
How to remove the APN if it was set from the app?

Thank you.

You can try these steps: verify SIM functionality and APN settings, check SIM card placement, update firmware, and reset network settings. Retro Bowl

If IP is obtained, this is not a hardware issue. Check if the SIM card has got enough balance.
